21 Days of Prayer (2025)

Thank you for joining us for this first week of Fellowship’s 21 Days of Prayer to begin the new year. Each day will list a prayer focus, scripture, devotional thoughts, prayer guide, and recommended worship songs.


Day 8: Monday, January 13, 2025

Prayer Focus: God’s Peace in Homes

Scripture

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:7-9

And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever. My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.
Isaiah 32:17-18

Think About it

God’s type of peace is beyond anything we can think or imagine. It is this type of peace that we should desire in our homes. Our homes should be a safe place to go to take a breath from the world. Let us desire to make our homes a place where we dwell on things worthy of our attention and a place where we practice the things of God.

Prayer Guide

As we attempt to live worthy of the calling God has placed on our lives, God will bless our homes with peace. Pray that our homes will be places of love and understanding where we display the Love of Christ in the way we interact with each other. Think and pray about specific ways that you can ensure your home is and stays at peace.

Day 9: Tuesday, January 14, 2025

Prayer Focus: God’s Blessing over my Spouse

Scripture

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
Ephesians 5:22-28

Think About it

We believe life is better when lived in a community. A spouse is one of the ways God allows us to experience community. We should treat our spouses exactly like they are: a gift from God. If we think about it, God Himself doesn’t even know what it means to live without community. God the Father has always had God the Son and God the Holy Spirit with him. So we should look upon our Spouse as a blessing and someone God has given to us to be there when we need to be lifted up when we fall.

Prayer Guide

Let us seek ways that we can show appreciation to our spouse today. Pray specifically for God to show you ways that you can be a blessing to them. Pray God will give you the strength to love them well and that you will be what they need you to be.

Day 10: Wednesday, January 15, 2025

Prayer Focus: God’s Blessing over my Marriage

Scripture

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:14-17

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Genesis 2:24

Think About it

Love is what binds us all together. In the context of marriage, above all else, we should make it a non-negotiable that we will love each other well. The way we love each other and the way we treat each other shows the world Christ. Jobs, kids, and hobbies may be important, but not more important than our marriages. Our first obligation outside of serving Christ, is serving our spouses.

Prayer Guide

Make a declaration that 2025 will be the year that you bathe your marriage in prayer. Make this the year that you choose to lose arguments and be a peacemaker. Our marriages are important. Pray that God will give you the marriage of your dreams as you make every effort to be the partner of their dreams.

Day 11: Thursday, January 16, 2025

Prayer Focus: God’s Blessing over our Children

Scripture

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord , the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
Psalm 127:3-5

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6

Think About it

As a Christian, the number one way we can change the world is by raising Christian children. We should make their spiritual development the number one priority in our lives. As parents, we need to view our children as gifts from God and stewart them as such.

Prayer Guide

Our children need our prayers, our love, and our instruction. Pray that God will give us the wisdom to raise our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. We tend to protect our children from the things that can harm them physically. Pray that God will give us the same attitude towards their spiritual life.

Day 12: Friday, January 17, 2025

Prayer Focus: God’s Calling in our Lives

Scripture

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

Think About it

A Christian must find himself rooted and established in the love of Jesus Christ. Our God so loved us that He gave His one and only son so we could spend eternity with Him. For this reason, we bow and give thanks. We live and breathe in the reality that we are His and that is what makes us special. Through our lives we bring Him honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. As we read that, let us dwell on the magnitude of His love for us and the purpose that He has created us to accomplish for His glory.

Prayer Guide

Pray we will find ourselves basking in the love of Jesus Christ and find ourselves doing the work He created us to do. We were all created on purpose for a purpose. We will never be fulfilled until we surrender to that calling. Pray today that Christ will reaffirm that calling in our lives and we will present our lives as a living sacrifice to him and to His calling.

Day 13: Saturday, January 18, 2025

Prayer Focus: God’s Grace to our Unsaved Family Members

Scripture

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:3-4

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
John 3:16-18

Think About it

God desires that everyone would come to the saving knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ. His will is that none will perish but all will have eternal life. He loves us and longs for a relationship with us. Our unsaved family members are no exception. Salvation is a gift from God so that no man can boast that he was good enough to earn this status himself. No one has gone too far that the Holy Spirit can’t reach them!

Prayer Guide

Pray the gospel will find open doors in the lives of our unsaved family members. We need to pray when the gospel is presented it will be clear and easy for them to understand. Pray for the one who will deliver the gospel message and for open ears and open hearts, willing to receive this amazing gift. Pray that we will get the chance to preach the gospel to them through our love for them and that we will use words where necessary.

Day 14: Sunday, January 19, 2025

Prayer Focus: God’s Light will Shine through Our Family

Scripture

“I am the Lord ; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations,”
Isaiah 42:6

You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:13-16

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105

Think About it

We live in a lost and dying world. We also live in a world that is in the process of being restored through the light and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. God in his infinite wisdom decided to use the family structure as His preferred method of bringing about His redemption. People do not turn on a light just to hide it away somewhere that it cannot be seen. In the same manner, our lights should not be hidden away either.

Prayer Guide

We are called to be light in a dark and dying world. Pray that God will use how your family loves and treats each other show hope to that dark world. Pray that God will bring people into your home where they can witness the fruits of living according to His Word.
