The First Sunday in May has long been celebrated as Homecoming/Decoration at Fellowship Baptist Church. And though we still cannot meet as we would like, we are inviting family and friends to visit the cemetery provided they adhere to recommended health and distancing guidelines.
Bro. Chris Hunnicutt shared the following statement via his Facebook page:
I wanted to share a few things with you. As you know, Homecoming/Decoration will be coming up this Sunday at Fellowship Baptist Church. The way things are looking, we still are under certain guidelines about social gatherings/meetings (although we may learn some more tomorrow). While we are still not able to meet physically yet, we will still have our decoration in the cemetery for Homecoming. I would like to stress that you continue to maintain guidelines as set forth by the state as you come/drop off your decorations/donations.
I’m in the process of trying to get with different people of our church to put together a special service for Homecoming. We are going to try to have some special music, and hopefully a couple other special things.
