Bro. Chris Hunnicutt has announced his resignation as pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church. He informed our deacons of his decision earlier this week before sharing the news with our congregation from the pulpit this morning.

Bro. Chris accepted the call to serve as our pastor in April 2015. We thank him for his pastoral leadership over the past seven and a half years, and we appreciate the many other contributions he, Brittany, and Kelly have made to the life and ministry of our church. We wish Bro. Chris success in his sushi/desserts business and pray for the fruitfulness of the Hunnicutts’ future ministry opportunities.

Our deacons have already begun making inquiries about potential interim pastors, and youth pastor Bro. Robbie Bradford has expressed his willingness to preach as needed. The process for selecting a pastor search committee will be discussed during the service on Sunday, November 6, with the selection of that committee scheduled for the following Sunday (Nov. 13). We ask all members to faithfully pray for our church, attend our church services and events, and give of their time in service to the church as we search for our next pastor.
